My biggest concern is just how much will I need to upgrade my PC if at all. My PC is a gaming PC with a high spec graphics card and RAM which plays x3 easily but it is 2 and a half years old so to play this game I actually bought the PC for by the time March 2014 comes around I may have an expensive upgrade

My thoughts exactly... as soon as i heard about the development I resolved to put a bit of cash aside each month between now and March 2014. Some serious upgrades or a brand new rig will be needed in my case!

Absolutely .. for now people shouldn't worry about what PC will be required - I myself only have a gaming laptop that runs most modern games comfortably but I expect by the time Elite: Dangerous is released it may not. (I must have it on max settings or not at all !!!)

In 1 years time, if you save just a little each month:

- You will have a nice pot of money ready for upgrades
- Technology will have moved on making better and faster components
- The average price of top end items now will be reasonable in 1 years time.


David - nice opening video - thanks for that as it was definitely needed to help bring in new (non-hardcore) elite players. Keep the momentum going ... more pictures / videos / comments by you and the team and so on.

As for myself .. I almost creamed my pants with glee! Nice one

Yeah, my poor old computer is not gonna be able to hack it, for sure. I'll keep her going until around the time when ED is (hopefully) released and then spend a wodge of cash without the missus finding out
