Thank you for a mind blowing experience

So, I just made the pilgrimage to Sol. I was spawned a fair ways away and it took me a good deal of jumping to make it there but man was the trip ever worth it. As soon as I got into the system I had goosebumps. Immediately I made my way towards Earth. Seeing it come into focus, I really was on the edge of my seat. After flying around the planet for a bit and taking a look down onto Canada (my home) I decided to fly to the Moon. The idea that I was, in some small small way, making the same trip that real life astronauts did really was mind blowing. Thank you for making such an amazing game. It truly is awesome to be able to fly around our own solar system and start to get a sense of just how big our universe really is.

I'm playing on the DK2 with a X55. This will now be my go to experience when I want to show someone VR.

I had no idea Sol was our solar system, I know what I'm doing tomorrow! All this talk of interstellar jumps and a pilgrimage to Earth has me all nostalgic for Battlestar Galactica!

mind blowing you serious my first experience as beta backer is 100 credits basic sidewinder where are other ships? went out into space to travel got interdicted killed
back to starter station then I shut the game down in disgust

As a beta backer you will have a free Eagle parked at a station in the system you started in. The other free ship (one of the five mentioned in the last newsletter) is not ready yet. As for the rest of your rant... meh, learn to fly.

yes your right there is a eagle to pick up looking forward to one of the five ships? I wonder which ones anyone know - yes you are right I do need to learn to fly better that's why I only do single play mode my pvp in open will be worse saying that I only use keyboard at moment - went in today got the eagle and I must say the game is so much smoother and better a real pleasure to fly about in

Yes one thing Frontier did very well is simulate our galaxy to scale. The SOL planets need more accurate textures though. There's a lack of gameplay content and social tools.
