Thank You for the Experience, but it has only just begun.

Today marks the day (July 20th) that I have taken the plunge, and purchased myself the ever so legendary Anaconda.

It was about a month long process from my little Sidewindy, to this beast of a vessel. And I would like to thank the Frontier team for this game because it fulfills my inner fanboy of space and all of my space/sci-fi fantasies.

I only made money through the professions that I found most enjoyable which was RES, and trading here and there.

I've got my Conda equipped for a combat load-out that is very basic (But plenty for RES). I never planned on taking her into Open play, so I knew I would not farm a couple hundred million to get her PvP ready. RES barely take any money to design a load-out for, mine was about 9 million CR. (Takes 31 seconds to kill an Elite Clipper, shields never drop below a ring.)

Here is my ship progression
Sidewinder->Adder->Viper->Cobra->Type 6->ASP->Type 7->Python->Type 9->Anaconda.

I hope to get some money from this baby in the future to invest into a full A-Grade Python next.

But like I said ''It has only just begun'', I will eventually kit it out for PvP, so that means I will need to grind out about 400Million+ CR. :'D

I hear you. This game is fantastic - I run a smuggling/piracy cobra, and also aspire to one day fit out an anaconda.

It can't sneak into a station very well, though.

I disagree, many creds to be had in a smuggling Anaconda ;)

Nice video! I do a similar route in an Anaconda and I found that there is really no need to use silent running. The security level is so low in Archon systems that they never scan you if you just fly in normally. I got scanned once in 70 trips, that was when I missed the slot and spent half a minute derping on the toast rack.

Thanks CMDR! I haven't run the route since posting (been out exploring the core) so I'm not sure if it's still profitable. I'll have to check it out again when I get back. I did get busted once running that route and got hit with a 1.5 mil cred fine! :( After that I always activated silent running and had chaff on standby.

Indeed! I have been playing this game pretty exclusively since it was released and sure if I look at my worth I have had "Conda Money" But even with me pretty much trading/RES/exploring my way up thru, I have only hit as high as the Python(Heck I pretty much went on the same ship progression as well)

You need to point this amazing fellow to that ED Board so we can see how he has pulled off this magnificent achievement ;)

God you people..

I had my first Conda back in January, it's not like trading always made a huge amount. -.-

Now you can do fun things and can get to an Anaconda in the same time as if you would trade grind like I did, hell yeah!

Also with upgrades she is more like 800 mil but nooo buying a stock conda after a month is game breacking, we all want to fly a god damn Cobra for three weeks and must chore through this for half a year..

Argh.. "Vents cooling and closing"

.. Yes im fine, thanks.

He said that is flying an almost basic loadout Anaconda so he needed more or less 150M Cr to buy it. That means 5M/day as a mean value. Impossible to earn with a Sidey but very easy with a T9... if you don't need to go to school or work, of course.

Firstly, well done on that.

Secondly... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT ...in a month... a month!!!

Thirdly... I'm raising a support ticket stating 'exceptional envy' to see if I can get one too.

Oh of course it's possible you just got to dig in and do it. I would just like to see his Stats to see how hard he was really grinding at it. I mean I am already at my "End Game" Ship. I have no aspirations for a Conda. I have my Python, my Cobra, and my just recently purchased Vulture. All of them are fully A-Classed so heck I may have my Conda money already sitting in my hangar tied up in my high specced ships.

+1 this,

I am way to lazy these days to open support tickets (done about 70 over the course of alpha/beta/gamma/release).

Simon

i flew the 4N4C early enough, still a nice lil ship in your garage - if you can afford.
BUT! iam somehow stuck at my "local maximum" Python. A-class mostly, worth >¢200m. its a nice ship for everything, i wish there would be..

...some more paintjobs grrrr
