Horizons Thank you Frontier

Today I lost my ship.. cost me 34,000,000 in insurance..

And I still absolutely love this game :D I have been playing since it launched, I very much wish I knew about it before to back it at the beginning. Approaching 700 hours played and I still feel like a new pilot trying to make his way across the Galaxy.

I was listening to Lave Radio today and heard its been essentially running 4 years now. Well I hope it runs for another 40 years in honesty. Not to say I have not been without issue :D Engineers 2.1 with the super weapons was a rough time for me.. but i can laugh about the Plasma Multi-Cannon Hybrids now.. (HAHA)

I have to admit, that most of the people I started playing with have fallen from the wayside to the point I fly alone in the black I am trying to fix that (I joined the Mobius server and still haven't met any other commanders), and I have been trying very hard in vain for my husband to come back in. To be honest it truly is their loss IMHO.

I will say the game really comes to life in VR for me. EVERYTHING is controlled using an X52. I only wish i had more buttons now with 2.2

I do a bit of everything in game, I love mining, its not all about profit. What I am really enjoying since it got updated is Engineers, and unlocking them. It feels just about the right level of difficulty now for me. (I know it's a matter of opinion.)

Anyway, Thanks very much! I am sure I will continue to Fly in the coming years, Feel free to refund me my ship insurance! :D haha. Always open for bribes.

I really should get one of those signature things on the go. (Combat: Dangerous Trade: Elite Exploration: Ranger) FED: Rear Admiral EMP: None Alliance: Allied

I can only imagine what VR is like for Elite, I've been told the scale is what is mind blowing as you can't get that without VR.
Like the OP I been playing from the beginning as well, technically even before as I am Premium Beta and even remember 'the Pill', and I really don't think I'll play anything else for quite some time yet. So far I've nearly 8 weeks on the clock.

So thanks FD for making such a masterpiece, just like its original BBC model B version away back in the mists of time.
Played that to death as well.. and the Amiga version!
