Thank you to the Cmdr for a very amusing interdiction - Drug Dealer?!

Heading to Stillman, for the current CG, in a loaded T9 when I saw a hollow square circle behind me, then turned into a triangle, then the inevitable happened...I got yanked from SC.
They were flying a Cobra Mk3, so wasn't concerned at all. Was about to hyperspace to another system when I got an incoming msg:

Cmdr: "Don't worry, I'm not a pirate. I just wanted a chat"
Me: "Hi. I'm in VR so it's hard to type"
Cmdr: "oh, ok, no problem. Do you want to buy some onionhead?"
Me: "lol. No drooogs for me thanks"

Lone Security Service Ship Jumps in

Cmdr: "Damn, it's the cops"

Cmdr turns away and hyperspaces out

Still laughing about it ~~30mins~~ 1 day later

I've never actually been interdicted by a real pirate. I see posts here about real pirates but I only seem to get murder boats pull me from SC.
Never heard of an active drug dealer in ED before

I remember a tour I worked on years ago, one of the Backline guys sound checked the mics by singing “Row Row Row Your Boat” in the most unenthusiastic monotone voice I’ve ever heard

I'm In vr too and it's hard to really reply quickly to incoming texts from folks. This needs addressing fdev?

Yes it does!
Ever since beta I've asked/posted about having either an in game keyboard...or the ability to have present msgs, that you scroll to and select. Nothing worse than having to take your headset off every 5 seconds while playing

Free keyboard macro program. Supports hotkeys for keyboard, mouse, and joystick. Can expand abbreviations as you type them (AutoText).

Wiggling ED's comms tab takes a little effort as their command input speed is limited and you might neeed to send key down and key up as individual commands, but it worked.

I once had a CMDR interdict mine and try to sell some religion. Unfortunately, his fancy ejection seat surely sent him to the nearest station, rather than allowing him to meet the entity he seemed so enthralled with.

Might have been willing to negotiate for some Onionhead though.

Been a long time since this roleplay hasn't seemed almost entirely out of place, as piracy is hardly a rational lifestyle/career choice in the setting the game depicts.

I don't think I've viewed actual pirates as being any more contextual than gankers since the golden age of rare trading.

I did have Voice Attack setup a while back so I'd enter the "textbox" then say "In VR" and it would type "Sorry, hard to type, I'm in VR" and other common msgs...it worked, but was fiddley.

I find the Alpha strain best, removes the need for the spoon, though the fluorescent green biowaste is a little worrying !
