I did have Voice Attack setup a while back so I'd enter the "textbox" then say "In VR" and it would type "Sorry, hard to type, I'm in VR" and other common msgs...it worked, but was fiddley.

From what I've heard of VA, you should be able to use it simply as a keyboard macro tool. I used a numpad (my keyboards are all tkl) to trigger the messages. Easy enough to find the right keys even while wearing the headset.
