Thank you to the Devs

Despite what some people on the forums say, you're doing a great job! The dlc is amazing and the updates and communication are unmatched! I've never seen more comments on posts and issues in game addressed as quickly.

Just had to say this to balance out the forums a bit and give the Devs the respect and gratitude they deserve, can't forget the forum mods either!

Maybe people could post one thing their thankful the Devs have done and one Christmas wish?

For me I'm thankful for the animal aging, solves my main issue. And I'd love to see beavers eventually, could see really cool dam building potential!

Happy holidays^-^

I'm thankful for how responsive the devs are to the community, regardless of what the negative nancy's say. More of my main non-bug gripes with this game have been addressed in just the few short months since release than most games get....ever. The animal aging thing being just one example.

For my Christmas wish...uh, I wish that we would get true underwater swimming implemented. I took the time to build a nice underwater viewing area in one of my first zoos, only to discover it is pointless to go through the effort. I'd like it to be worthwhile. Not only would it be great for many of the animals we already have, it would open the door for the addition of marine animals.

I am incredibly grateful to every man and women at Frontier for making Planet Coaster, and now, Planet Zoo.

I used to be very creative and active, apart from computers/games, but medical issues will keep me from doing that and i’m pretty much a home-body now. So I get to put my love of creativity and “making things” into a game. With Planet Coaster - making coasters, making beautiful buildings and SO much more.)

Now with Planet Zoo.....speechless. I get to make my own ZOO!! And I LOVE the animals
It’s so incredibly stunning. You have out done yourselves.

So Thank you Frontier for everything you do!

I'm thankful for all the positive and friendly people that I have interacted with on this forum. I'm not normally an active forum user for most games, but this one has drawn me in! As far as the game goes, I am hugely thankful for the new heat maps for vandalism and litter. I remember spending a good 30 minutes looking for trash in the casino career zoo! But never again! lol

As a wish, I would love to see some badgers or other mustelids (weasel family) in the game! But then we'd need good burrowing mechanics, which I suppose I also wish for! :)

Thanks devs for producing the game - my spouse has commented several times that they've never seen me so excited over a game. While there are some problems, at its heart Planet Zoo is a great game that just needs a little polish. I think people are a little harsh on the developers, honestly, and the Planet Zoo devs have been very responsive to community feedback, which I, for one, appreciate. Thanks for all your hard work.

My wish is for more animals that aren't common in zoos, like some of the deer you see people interacting with in Japan (holy crap they're so adorable) or some of the WEIRD critters you never hear about, like the nearest living relative to the Maned Wolf, which is called the Bush Dog (or vinegar dog!) <- (click link to Wikipedia to see pics of this thing) or basically any of the fox-like species in South America, which while extremely similar to foxes are not actually closely related. Literally anything from the genus Lycalopex <- (another wiki). (Yeah, I went down a wikipedia rabbit hole recently LOL).

But honestly that's just an idle thought--the game is fantastic, and I'm really thoroughly enjoying it. This isn't me complaining, just being excited over weird animals mostly. :D

Hey there, I hope it is okay to dig out this thread to add my "Thanks"!

I used to play the old Zoo Tycoon from 2001 as a kid and loved it. I didn’t like any other zoo simulation game after it, never played Zoo Tycoon 2 and just returned to the old game from time to time, always hoping there would come a new game that could transport the same feeling. Right from the first announcement, I found Planet Zoo very promising.

I couldn’t even wait until christmas, but bought it a while before. And since that day, I have been playing in every spare minute, rather than working on my Master thesis (i blame you, Frontier!). The game looks amazing, the animals are adorable, and the creative freedom it provides is incredible. It feels like re-living my childhood, but with more details 😉 It is so engaging to learn more and more about the game mechanics and improve with every habitat and every building.

For me personally, you absolutely nailed it with Planet Zoo and I am happily looking forward to everything that will be added in the future. Thank you for making this game!

I guess I post enough that it's heard by now that Planet Zoo is "my" game. I am more of an "one game only" player and play this game as a fully fleshed-out hobby. Yes, after several decades, Frontier was able to get me away from the Sims (with the help of EAs not so great work on the game obviously).

I can't lie, I love the game. Yet there are some things for me that really need to be adressed. Not many, but some. Individualism is one of them, meaning personality and apereance other than size. And a turning off of protestors in sandbox. ;)

All in all I love Planet Zoo. Tremendously, whole-heartly and probably forever. But if I would have to name one single thing that the Devs ABSOLUETLY nailed, it would be the sounds. I build my first indoor african elephant enclosure yesterday. It's kind of a big hall. And the sound-difference between outside and inside is so much on point, it is incredible! I came to bed way too late yesterday, just because I couldn't stop watching and especially listen to my elephants. The sound was that good, I felt like I am IN this hall and almost could smell the elephant dung :D Absolutely great job on this one!
