Thank You.

I've been a supporter of Nova Imperium ever since the Battle of Paresa in 3305. I was very interested in the potential lore implications Nova held, and over the years since I've worked with countless players to keep Nova Imperium alive, as requested on GalNet following the purge. We wanted to demonstrate support for the faction in the hopes that the story might continue, and so that we would be ready if it did, to avoid a repeat of the first CG when a small number of supporters were suddenly thrown up against the entire Empire.

At most, if there was to be another competitive CG, I expected another attack from the Empire. Certainly not the Federation, who have won damn near every competitive CG since the game released. And certainly not to win against them.

Yes, we prepared for it ahead of time. That was the founding purpose of our group, and I note that the same option was available to the Federation, who easily could have crushed us if they had. I suspect that a few Federals did, but it was just another Federal CG to them, not out of the ordinary and they always win anyway. It was showtime for us.

And even then, all our preparation did was even the playing field a little. We are not a superpower. We still would have lost had it not been for the countless players who came to our aid, many of them Imperials who had once been trying to destroy us, and even some Feds. Not the allies I once would have expected, but I'm glad we've reached the point where that sort of thing is possible.

So, thank you. Thank you to all the players who read a bit further than the headline on GalNet, and came to support us. With how events have been set up to lead to this, I've got a very good feeling about what will result from this win, and it's a hell of a win, for everyone I think.

You're welcome, but I didn't do it for Nova.

I did it because it was right.

The fact it rubs the Feds' noses in it doesn't hurt either.

Today, it matters not whether the views of Nova Imperium are considered contentious. The belief of the Paresan people is enough.

Today, it matters not whether there are unresolved allegations against Hadrian Augustus Duval. Truth will prevail and justice will be done.

Today, what matters is that we will always stand together to defend our sovereign Empire, as one family united with the respect and decency our culture implies but which the rest of the Galaxy is severely lacking. We are humanity's hope, and any would-be usurpers of our beloved worlds will feel the wrathful fire of a thousand stars.

I was pretty surprised the players could actually stand up for a righteous thing, one week after having cemeted the federation as a police state. I just wish rewards would be more competitive for both sides, that enginerred railgun vs. enzyme useless rack was a bit of a joke when fighting the marlinists for example :D. Really happy all turned out well for the freshly married couple, having them get dethroned would have ruined a potentially very interesting storyline I think.

You're overthinkin' it bro.
I fought for nova because it was attacked based on unconfirmed allegations made by confirmed terrorists.

I didn't care who attacked who - sending ships to kill and subdue based on some criminal saying "they dunnit!" is so wrong that anyone should oppose it.

If ACT confirms the allegations, I will be the first to attack Nova, regardless of whether it's fednecks, imps or freakin' thargoids leading the charge.

Well, ok, I might reconsider siding with Thargoids, but you get the idea.
