I lost my complete ship when I clicked the wrong thing on the rebuy screen. Do you think I'll get that back?
I was hoping Frontier were going to fix that in 2.1. Can someone please explain why there's even the option to get the starter Sidewinder when you'very been blown up. What is it - a self imposed sanction to punish yourself when you get blown up. If anybody wanted a Sidewinder, they could simply buy one. They don't exactly cost a lot. If they wanted to restart, surely, they'do use the reset commander option at login. I can't think of any occasion when somebody would want to replace theit ship with a Sidewinder and lose all the money for it.

Yes thank you! I went from about 75 mil in total assets to 95 Mil in total assets so as you can tell I've lost a whole lot of ships and cargo since the update to crazy aggressive AI, AI griefer interdictions, bugged AI, AI cops killing me with stupid 900 credit bounties while bounty hunting where there are like 8 of them and one of the dumb cops fly in between me and the enemy and get shot up and boom then all 8 of them are on me.

I just logged onto the game without checking the news and forums and thought "I'm sure I only had 21 million in the bank, not 33 million".
I only lost my Python twice during the Great Blitz. Others lost far more, and I'm sure they'll be much more appreciative of this decision.

I got mine back...and while the money is always nice...(Now I can afford a 6A Fuel Scoop for the Crab Nebula Expedition) it seemed a bit "cheap"

I feel a bit wrong getting my 22 million Anaconda rebuy back after I crashed into a High-Gee planet. Still I'll take it.
I would like to add my thanks as well. I got interdicted by a Federal Dropship when I was in my Anaconda. Now, in the past that would not have been a problem; about 5 minutes later I would continue on my way. This time, within a minute or so I was looking at the 20Mcr REBUY screen. I was not angry (as I knew the NPCs had got harder), but it did sting a bit. Having the refund has taken the sting away.
Saying that, I still think we should have harder NPCs. In the future we will have to deal with the Thargons. Not only that, but we may then have to deal with whatever it is that has them running scared! The only way WE will get better in combat is to have stiffer competition in combat.

The Sidey is always an option. I have heard many times that a considerate e-mail to FD's support guys often results in a refund. There are no promises, but it isn't unheard of.

This is the only game that has EVER given back game money due to a bug...unless it was petitioned. And even then...yeah right.

I know a lot of games that could care less about bugs ruining game play...but to go this far for people!?!
At one point I was actually thinking that the Devs might actually be sitting back watching stuff and laughing hysterically about people losing ships. I even imagined them taking bets on how long someone would last...I see now that I may have been wrong.
Though I have to admit...to see the look on my face would have been priceless as I was squicked in less than 5 seconds against a lowly Eagle and being in a Python at that.
So again, thank you very much for the refund. It was a pleasant surprise

Not sure what this is about but I did wonder why when I was at high res last night in the clipper, how that python being killed by 2 fed anacondas could turn around start shooting at me and pretty much right away knock out my shields, then when I looked to see my hull status it was already on 5%, and in instant later I'm dead.
I just thought he must have had some seriously upgraded weaponry and shrugged it off.

ah lol i just spent the evening doing missions for about a total of 5m and my balance shot up 35m, thought it was a bug but wasnt going to say anything, lost a corvette 2 hours in on 2.1 lol wih 30mil'sh rebuy. NICE.
Yes, it was worth several million as I lost a smuggling asp a couple of times before I realised the only way to combat the uber AI was in my FAS, and even then it got close several more times. Newsletter said it was a refund from the pilots federation.
