Thank you from myself and an awful lot of other players who expect and understand that we are on a journey and are enjoying - almost all of - the challenges along the way.
The ED universe is shaping up to be a wonderful and continuously surprising place. The updates have been an overwhelming success and have added greatly to game-play for me. The new route finder is jaw-droppingly quick and simple.
I think the way that the mythos is being slowly woven into place, with new curiosities and the promise of new ships has a really positive effect.
I'm looking forward to experiencing it as it progresses!
The negative comments have been disappointing over the last couple of months, but it seems people more rarely seek out the forums to praise the game than to bring up issues, understandably. Those people are out there playing and loving it. A lot of the disgruntled voices seem to be from people who misunderstood the process they were buying into, or didn't read professional reviews to grasp what is being made here and how. Sure there're inconvenienced folk with bug issues, but that's the case for any static software, let alone gigantic persistent play environments that are constantly being developed.
I'd love to have access to more frequent updates on the progress, but when 1.1 came out, I have to say, I could see where the time had been spent!
Anyway, thanks for all the hard work. I hope that morale is high and that David is letting you out for lunch, dinner and sleep... and no more!
Cheers!
