To Frontier,
I just wanted to say thank you for the incredible experience that I'm having with Elite: Dangerous. For hours and hours now I've been just so immersed in this universe. I don't know if its the incredible sound or visual effects, coming in to land at a space station, etc. All I know once I fire up ED everything that I think about just goes away, i.e. thinking about the next mortgage payment, work, etc., just melts completely away. Hats off to those who came up with the sound design, it just sounds what I've envisioned what it would be like to pilot a ship in space and just listening to the nuances of things sounding off, i.e. ships engines, computers, lasers or chain guns firing, etc. Never heard anything like this before from my experience.
I've played a lot of games in my lifetime, but I've yet to have this kind of immersion experience in a very long time. It makes me harken back to the day my dad brought home the Atari 2600, just the biggest smile on my face as you can imagine.
This is what ED has done to me, made me feel like a kid again.
