Started this Thread to gather Information about Thargoid Combat. Please post your info, i will summerize than.

- When or whats the cause of Thargoid Heart expanding? Sometimes the get exposed after a red glow but dont know if its time, rondom, or a damage percentage trigger?

- Will Make a list of different Thargoid Attacks, i will shot a footage of my next battle to analyse.

- Swarm Attack
- Yellow Attack (seems to shot down shields)
- Red Laser (Huel Breach?)
- Watery AOE (Shuts down Ship)

Please help to undertand their combat tactics and makeing us better Defenders of the Universe ;-)

This has already been documented in some threads:
The hearts become exerted after causing enough hull damage to the Cyclops and the Cyclops healing itself. Basically the heart has to work hard to heal the ship and becomes exerted(exhausted) after doing a lot of healing.
Time might be another factor: healing bit by bit over time might not exert the heart.

Also, right now, only the AX missile does sufficient hull damage to the cyclops to trigger a lot of healing and exerting a heart.

Once the heart is exerted, in has to be destroyed via internal module damage, with currently is only applicable via AX Multi Cannons.

As the rules are subject to weekly change by FDev, either AX missiles or Multi Cannons might become ineffective for the above jobs in the next patch.

Thargoid combat tactics has been covered a multitude of times in other threads, so no need to collate it here... However for your own info current tactics to combat thargoids are:

AX missiles until you do >20% damage
the xeno scanner will let you see which heart is exerted (used for healing)
target and AX multicannon the exerted heart
it raises a panic shield, use conventional weapons on the shield
repeat the previous four steps for each of the four hearts
AX missile the hull to bits

All the while dodging the swarm / EMP / Caustic missiles etc
