Thargoid Interstellar Interdiction

CMDR Ambient Badger in the Pleiades Sector. I was jumping to HR 1185 to offload some opals at the Indra. I was pulled out into witch space. Interstellar interdiction. Two Thargoid interceptors. I popped a heat sink immediately and all my systems blacked out anyway. They must have lost my heat signature.

I'm sitting here in a cold sweat looking at their wakes. Reminds me the time they pulled me out of witchspace when I was just a kid on my Acorn 3000. My hand's are shaking commanders. Fly safe.

When flying around the Pleiades Sector, I always carry the Thargoid Field Neutraliser Module (as I always seem to be carrying thargoid bits For Professor Palin or Ram Tah).

You wait to hear the warning about the Shutdown Field, count to 2 and Activate the Field Neutraliser and keep it on (Click and hold) until the Shutdown Field has passed and then boost away and high wake before they can scan you.

if you don't have things the Thargoids want, then just go passive, let them scan you and then they'll fly away.

Is that how you are supposed to use it? I have one on my AX Phantom and could never get it to work in Thargoid CZs. Guess I need to keep that button pressed.

Been carrying around Thargoid wake scan data for ages, and adding to it. I keep hoping someday it will have a purpose.

Will it? Has it every been mentioned by FDev?

They might be of use in a future Interstellar Initiative.

Could be. I was thinking more along the lines of a new FSD experimental. Engineering is already fairly diverse, but I would like to see even more, divergent options, more struggle over opportunity cost. More to set one build apart from the next.

Wishes are not expectations though, and it's far more likely that one day I will need 50 thargoid wakes to unlock a G3 FSD engineer in Beagle Point.
