Thargoid Pulse Neutraliser Now Sold For Credits

Yesterday I flew out to a Guardian ruin to collect relics... then went on to a Thargoid structure to convert them... then finally went on to a rescue ship to get 2 more Thargoid Pulse Neutralisers...

Today I get this in my message box.... Kind of sums up my week.

It seems this also applies to caustic sink launchers... ah well, I had a good run on caustic tissue sample sales while it lasted...

The only minor annoyance about this is that I spent a day or two getting the caustic sink and pulse neutralizer for my alt just last week.

Not too upset though, figuring out how to retrieve the samples without getting my ship melted was an interesting one-off experience. Making the unclassified relic… eh, I dunno. And I rescued some 120 people before the Titans began to get blasted, which was the whole purpose of that.

I love how people ping-pong between "it's about the journey, not the destination, and it's not that difficult to obtain these things", and "this ain't fair". I'm all for Fdev encouraging more players to participate in these gameplay loops, especially when the past decade of Thargoid lore has otherwise just been them plodding around and scanning you sometimes.

It's nice that it's easier to participate on these gameplay loops, but I do understand those that put the effort only to now have the effort have been only for "first access". If at least there was a new decal or something with a relative low price to be given to them, that would remove the feeling of it being unfair. Maybe two, one for those who participated on the CG, an extra one for anyone who unlocked the module (make it a decal of the caustic farting mine, that's one fun fella).
As someone who ignored the CG but unlocked the stuff later to do rescues, I'm glad for the change and don't feel it's unfair, but I do agree and understand anyone who does feel so.

Hopefully the experience of unlocking the relevant modules was fun and interesting for all who participated in it.
It seems this was meant to be a snarky and sarcastic comment, but just in case: Yes. Yes it was. And it was relatively easy if you followed along the narrative. It can of course be perceived as an impenetrable grindwall if you want to do it all at once at the last minute. Why this was a good call to unlock those tools so everyone can participate in the "endgame", even if they didn't follow along the narrative.

Even then, I would not qualify it as an "impenetrable grindwall". It shouldn't take that much time to get the caustic sink or pulse neutralizer unlock, I don't think. Of course, I kind of knew what to do already at a basic level, but it only took me about two evenings respectively for each module, or a few hours of time. The caustic sink potentially being the more time consuming task, but applying a little smart thinking instead of trying to sit right next to a limpet inside a caustic hellscape while it spends one or two minutes chasing and sitting on the generator, when said limpet has a 5 kilometer active range(very important for this purpose), made me get them without too much trouble.

I did also bring a repair limpet and AFMU to fix cargo hatch and damage from screwups. Which my first one was because I thought I had to keep the caustic generator in range to attach the limpet. Turns out... once it's launched, it won't lose track. So when I couldn't find any generators outside the caustic field(and there were a few), I just backed right out of it after limpet deployment and waited outside the danger zone. I thought figuring that out on my own was quite interesting.

(I wasn't as involved in the creation of the unclassified relic, but, that's probably because I'd done it at least two dozen times on my main account already.)

Not the most elegant solution, imo. It could be done at least through a CG, in which, I'm sure, many ppl who has already it unlocked, would gladly participate.
Anyway, yes indeed, unlocking the caustic sink and TG neutralizer was a quite nice and satisfying achievement.

CG might be a good idea if not for the fact that Taranis is, at least in this current phase, not going to make Friday. Or very probably not going to. It's down to two hearts already and I'm not even sure it will necessarily survive the night for US people. So to give the most people the chance at whatever those paintjobs and decals are going to be(I decline), this was the option [best] chosen.

Bah, the last two days I was trying to unlock the caustic sinks and had finally unlocked the anti corrosion cargo rack and was working towards the sinks. While this was the right decision, Its frustrating only that they didn't have the foresight to see this should of been done at the start of update 18 instead of after realizing there was not enough hardcore end game players able to achieve the goal properly and thus nerf it. I wasted like two nights of gaming on this junk lol. Kinda poor execution but this was the right thing to do, should of been done at the start of the update though in respect to peoples time.

Yep, getting the caustic sinks and Thargoid Titan Pulse Neutralizer for money without the parts grind was enough to get me into the AX game. I was able to kit out my Krait Mk II and destroy a Thargoid Titan heart by myself, though it was much guesswork and part of the time was spent fleeing the patrols around the Titan.

Maybe! It was a bit of a heartless thing to do to the Titan.
I give you an A+ on the awful pun scale.

Everyone in a Titan instance gets the heart destroyed message when it happens. But if it makes you feel good, consider you were there at the moment of a heart's destruction and assisted with it.
