Thargoid scout killing locations

I use to take my Krair Mk II to Asterope to kill scouts. Now with the Thargoid war can I go to Thargoid controlled system or will I be quickly interdicted and killed by an Interceptor before I even get to a level 4 signal source?
 
Hyperspace destabilisations are very common when entering a Thargoid-controlled system now. Around the Maelstroms, these seem not to emit a shutdown field, however this is because they are readying to right and deploying swarms. They will be stationary for a moment, so if you can at least come close to matching speed with a Basilisk (530) you can escape with another high wake.

Within said systems, you will get Thargoid interdictions. Normally these are a few Scouts, but can also be an Interceptor, and either way you will get Frame Shift Anomalies anywhere you drop. These also can be Scouts, or can be an Interceptor. Again, it will take a moment to deploy a swarm, so you should be able to get 5 km away and low wake.

Ironically, one of the safest places for you is actually at an AX conflict zone, or at an attacked port! These will have only Scouts at the start, and they will also be engaged with system AX forces. Go in by yourself, and kill Scouts as you please. You can leave and reset it when an Interceptor appears, or even continue as long as you do not annoy it, though mind that the AX forces will trigger shutdown waves.

I have just finished my thargoid combat krait. it's not god mode engineered (didn't have enough mats) but it is g5ed and has decent outfitting. expecting to lose a few ships when I start..... esp as I tend to play solo I have no idea what I am doing tbh

I had one go with an ax multicannon-turret-fitted Krait the other week - jumped into a low CZ and helped out - I bailed when an interceptor turned up though - this was in solo.

Going to try with some gauss this week I think.

Fear is the mind killer.

Really though, you'll be fine. Don't hang out and fight the interdictions if its just scouts. Others (interceptors) will soon join.
Go to the stations under attack. No end of scouts. If in open and you don't want to tango with the interceptors, others will take care of that. I often come armed for bear, for instance.
You will get interdicted, but just boost away.
 
Pleiades Sector is the basic hunting ground for Thargoids and NOT part of the Thargoid war. If interdicted there they will shut you down, scan you, then leave as usual without attacking...unless you attack. A shutdown field neutralizer perfectly executed can avoid the shutdown at times. As normal entering a non-human signal source and have a great battle!
