Thargoid signal on non-landable planet

After DSSing Negrito 6 (water world, non-landable), a Thargoid signal shows on the Notable Signals panel.

Is this common? What does it mean? Is that a structure? A crashed ship? Why show up if one cannot investigate it?

EDIT: Looks like one of either the Amaethon Class Agri Vessel or Saladin Mobile Security Department is misreporting as Thargoid. It happens.

Upps... yeah, it's the Amaethon Class Agri Vessel, because it's been pinged by Thargoids.

Also, looks like it got reported at least once.

Yes, orbital signal sources show up when you scan a body, human, Thargoid etc.
