Thargoid Structure

So I finally had a chance to visit an active Thargoid Structure. Got my corrosion resistant cargo hatch. Visited a Crash site for a Thargoid Cannister (UA now called a "sensor" or something?).

Used the old UA to gain entrance.

My question here is, with the UA being corrosive, it started messing with my SRV. Do i just ignore that? I want to explore the structure without fear of my SRV getting trashed and now way to leave.

Too bad I cannot buy a corrosion resistant SRV Cargo Hatch (or can i?)

Your SRV will last ages. You can also fix it with Synthesis
You could drop the UA, but you would lose it if you had a disconnect

Didn't think about this. You're suggesting to use the UA as the key to get inside, then drop it. Pick it up again on my way out? Can I get stuck inside if I don't have the UA to pick up again?

If you get stuck inside, you can just log to the non-horizons version and be in your ship in orbit.

You can drop it directly at the entrance (be careful that it doesn't roll away) and the door will stay open.

Maybe someday I will be able to get out of my SRV....and place it in the doorway like a doorstop.
