Thargoid vs Thargoid combat?

I was just hyperdicted and landed in Struve's Lost Sector ND-J b9-2 and I was scanned by one 'Goid whilst it spat what looked like tiny limpets at another 'Goid, there appeared to be impacts and the one being shot at seemed to 'limp' away. Not having run in to them much in my explorations, I'm wondering if this is normal or something new? And sorry, I was too busy getting away to get a pic, so all we have is my eyes.

The 2 'Goids appeared to be the same, only one scanned me and shot things though. The 'target' seemed to leak a greenish gas as it moved away.

It sounds like both interceptors were just too close to each other. Thargoids sometimes have thargons out prior to the hyperdiction event. It sounds like one of them was too close and bumped into the thargons. As for the "gas effect" that is just the engine effect they have its a green and black tear in space.

They occasionally stray too close to each other and thargons crash into the other ship. It causes nominal damage.

How's the hyperdiction look with the Odyssey graphics?

Yeah, I think you guys have it right.. I'd never seen it before, and I'm aware the Thargoids are up to things, so I wondered.. I also had the thought, humans have factions, why not Thargoids?

No screenshots? Interesting. It's almost like it never happened.
