Thargoid wake scans/trails.

Has anyone followed a thargoid wake trail? (never bothered with a wake scanner) to see where they go or is the distance to far for player ships to follow or don't the wakes last long enough to scan?

I admit not since 2.4, but before that the wakes could be scanned but you couldn't follow them.

It is still the same, scannable but no destination to be found. We'll probably get a Xeno Wake scanner later on.

With the right ship you can keep up with them.

You bounce off the spacial portal if you try and fly through it before it closes. Then you can scan the wake signature. Get data, but no destination info.

is the thargoid wake scan data used for anything currently?

Nope. Not found a use for it. Got t load of it taking uo space in my data slots...

We need a CG so I can offload all this stuff!
