Thargoids abducting humans for their experiments with anti-human virus?

What if thargoids harvesting escape pods and any other containers with alive humans (like slaves) because they conducting research of biological weapon, some kind of virus, that can spread across whole bubble and extinguish humanity. I bet they want revenge for mycoid virus.
Many people speculate that thargoids are peaceful, and we should not attack them. What if they do not attack you untill provoked not because they are peacful, but just because they think we all gonna die soon. Like you don't try to kill a specific cockroach untill it really annoys you, because you already bought some insecticide and going to wipe them all.
We have to stop them! Rescue from thargoids as many escape pods as you can and destroy or at least stop every CMDR who trying to "feed" thargoid with humans!

I am totally with you here. I do not accuse the Thargoids of anything unless proof has been found, but i try to rescue every escape pod i find. Noone should be left to alien abduction.

You might be onto something, between escape pods and now the prison ship, they do seem to be gathering a lot of human "material". What if we're all Soylent Green ingredients, mixed up with a bit of Anthrax to make up a weaponized meat missile? Maybe they'll end up creating some kind of virus warhead that they can fire into the portal of a station, infect everyone on board.......

But, honestly, if the FDevs decide on a 'wipe out humanity' option then it'd be game over... time for Elite Dangerous II lol

My theory: The thargoid ships are "biological and thus are grown. Captured humans dead or alive are "fuel" for the ship growth. The Thargoid ships are grown planetside underground with the barnacles acting as access points.This is would explain the crashsite growth. That or abducting human escape pods are their version of fuel scoops.

Humans as fuel? That would be very bad, unefficient, hard to get enough, limited, they would try to capture us instead of ignoring or attacking and so on.
But nice retro scifi idea. :D

Also they life since thousands of years.
Eating us? Not realy. They must have food similar to us to develope a digestive system to go on with meat based on what we know as food.
And i don't believe that on ammonia worlds live human like "animals" or even animals like we know, based on our physiology.

I think there is something different going on here.

Btw the UAs extract metals to repair themselve, altering it to some biologic component.
So the "food" of this ships could be the same: Metals
The ship on the barnacles is feeding on them, to repair, refuel etc.
Maybe they catch pods because of the special metal they made of, to withstand an explosion or other catastrophic events. (Like in the description ingame mentioned)


Or they go full Shadows! ;)
Remember what THEY did.
But also, limiting to a external ressource like humans for something is meh for such a high developed race in any means, in my oppinion.

OOOOH that's a good (and terrifying) thought. It does actually make a lot of sense too, and eye for an eye style.
