Thargoids and heat weapons

Hi Frontier!

Just wanted to throw up a little idea, just a tiny thing, hardly needs to be discussed really.

Thargoids are super-advanced and use totally different tech right? Something about biomechanical stuff, I don't remember clearly right now.

Where are my pills? There we go.

Okay, so super-advanced etc, so... how about this? For the sake of... variation and unique gameplay... yeah... how about if Thargoids, whenever they come in... their tech is actually boosted by the unique heat-transfer mechanics of current human weapons.

So not only are they basically completely immune to heat transfer... their ships actually gain back hull when a heat transfer weapon is used on them?

I think everyone already agrees cough that this would make for fantastic... emergent gameplay or something. So just go ahead and implement this and let this thread disappear into necro so that it's there when whatever tiny minority might complain for some reason in the future... then you can point at this thread and say the community asked for it!

PS also make it so Thargoids prioritise interdicting those ships with heat transfer weapons. It makes sense, think about it... I'd want to interdict a ship whose weapons healed my hull when they tried to fight back. QED.

How about when they jerk you out of Witch space (there will be no mini game) you have zero shields and just 25% hull left. Wouldn't that be fun. Don't worry, if FD implements them the way they were in previous games, their tough enough.
 
Ditch the heat weapon mechanic altogether.

Make thargoid weapons plasma rounds and corrosive kinetic rounds. Also, when the ship explodes if you kill them, a cloud of frozen particulate blood surrounds the wreckage.

also, they use corrosive mines that are actually synthesized by their defense system absorbing some of the energy from laser fire and repairing damaged hull. Avoiding mine production means using kinetic weapons against them but their hard exoskeleton shell reduces kinetic damage significantly except directly over subsystems where it is weaker to allow mechanical / biological access to space.
