The thing I've always been jealous of PC commanders for, is their FOV. Even at max, you're still smushed against the windscreen on console, lol.

The slider itself barely changes the FOV at all. I think its capped because the fish eye effect is very pronounced with higher values (unless planets are dead-center they are more egg-like than planets ). But as all HUDS are the same, this does allow you to feel the uniqueness of the cockpits way more, and if the canopy is good you just get to see more. Espescially on ships like the Asp its very easy on a console never to notice you can look down.

Could have been a single incident and not a sign of a larger Thargoid force in the bubble.

FOV slider, best thing i ever moved. You actually start to feel like a pilot in a ship not a dashcam glued to a window.

I’m doing some high value target exploring in the bubble right now, and all morning was nonhuman USS. I scanned about 15 of them, without fighting. I want to hit elite explorer before I turn my attention on them. I’m flying a science explorer armed to the teeth right now.

replace the PD for alien scanner and the missiles for the ATX

Good. Soon our bug overlords will find the birthplace of humanity, and hopefully wipe it from existence. If they are really creative they'll just detonate the star somehow and ruin the whole system (would be really epic to see well known systems change, obviously stored ships would have to be moved to another nearby system for sake of gameplay).
