Thargoids Bases - Like War of the world tripods...

I was thinking (dangerous i know) and im wondering if the thargoids are like the tripods.

- They are not "refuelling" or activating bases...
- They are seeding them
- The green beam is a transporter to "inject" machines and thargoids into the bases.

So each little barnacle is a receiver to receive things so they have no need to be on the surface.

Then why are they injecting machines and thargoids into our ships ?
The green beam also accurs when they hyperdict us, so either you're right and we're in trouble.. or it's something else :)

Since the barnacles are thriving on rock and extracting the materials and refining them, I think we can assume that the bases are doing the same.

They are extracting minerals and sculpting themselves.
It looks like the process is malfunctioning.

I haven't checked the canon thread but there are probably scores of posts underlying the same idea.

The 1984 BBC adaptation of The Tripods scared the living crap out of me as a kid.

EDIT: Misread the title - different tripods. But still.

When I (finally) had my Hyperdiction, they used the green beam to remove the two Unknown Artifacts I was carrying.

Interesting, I got hyperdicted but I only had Unknown Fragments on me, and I still have them in my cargo so the beam just seemed to suck the heat out of my ship

Humans cannot have such technology at this time. We would do bad things with it.

A bomb teleported is bad.
Underwear teleported off their wearer is bad.
Biowaste teleported into your sandwich as you're taking a bite is bad.

Pooping would be easier. From butt to biowaste cargo in a jiffy.
