Release 2.1 delayed by roughly 2 months.
Drew Wagar says clues to come in april.

Sounds perfect for a surprise release of thargoids into ED.

Personally, I believe the first real interaction will be a 3.0 thing. And I'm comfortable with that. I also believe there will be more clues and activities leading to that event as 2.0 completes.

One can hope! Fingers crossed for a real Thargoid invasion. Or at least a wave of scout ships in the black of deep space. :)

I wouldn't put it past them to drop a something at one of the Distant Worlds' waypoints so vigilant commanders notice something has changed since they last visited the place.

The Elite world needs to be fleshed out a lot more before alien protagonists are allowed to run wild. I'd say EGX in 2017 will be an exciting time, but that is just a guess.

Hasn't there been comments from Michael Brookes/devs that Aliens are already in the game - we just haven't found them yet

I know nothing about any Thargoids. I was referring to the 2.1 release itself.

Unless FD does something creative in how they label/sort their image files, the existence of Thargoids will be known within two minutes of a given release.
