I've been live streaming it, the system seems to check out clean, the screen came up after a fleet carrier jump, but before it had cooled down, maybe just wrong message displayed

That seems like a bug. I checked the same system on the galaxy map just now, there was no indication of anything Thargoid-related.

Yes Looks like a software issue.. Displays the wrong message when carrier is in cooldown.
