That horrible moment of realisation about Thargoid Hive Ships

I'm seriously beginning to suspect that the Thargoid bases we've been driving around are actually the Hive Ships which crashed due to the mycoid virus.

I also think, those Scavengers are trying to restore them to flight readiness.

If they do repair the ship, I reckon all those eggs we've not run over will hatch into the new hive ships crew!

So will begin Humanity's DOOM!

Just a theory!

very old theory
look around, you can find this discussion from a few of us.
the star map is in these for a reason
and take a good look at the bits and pieces of the wings that are lying around decaying. put it all together to see its real size.
tbh, my theory as previously posted long ago, they are barnacle maps and barnacle seed ships, as such, they are much much smaller than a hive ship that can very likely house several seed ships and several squadrons of fighting ships.
expect them to block out sol when they finally arrive.

picture a nebula being created by a burp.

keep in mind that we are simply a pest in their garden.
a pest that stung them once, long ago.
but still , like a wasp, we are nothing but a garden pest.

Can I have what he is having?
No, I'm keeping it all for myself.

Sorry it just clicked when I realised that the base follows the same circular pattern as the Inteceptors. Didn't realise it was an old theory!

Yep, has been suspected a long time now that these are old Thargoid capital ships ruined by the Mycoid. I'm actually doubtful they'll rise again, but we may see new ones in the future.

no need for sorry, the forums are not easy to search.
the more the merrier, all viewpoints are relevant until we see the truth up close in person. till then guessing is everyone's game.
and some of us have been able to fly anacondas inside the (apparently)crashed ships due to very early graphic glitches.
this allowed us to make screenshots of things that most people do not get to see.
from those images my first guess was that they landed due to mycoid, but then screwed themselves deep into the ground in order to be a base of operations and a seed ship and to heal.
But even though any or all of that might be true, or none of it, I do think the starmaps are barnacle seeded locations and I knew from the first time I saw a barnacle the emblem on them was an imprint of the nebula that is their owners home which made it clear the barnacles belong to them and we(mostly feds) were harvesting them and creating a problem for all of us.
learning later that our own fsd was stolen tech from them just compounded the problem and has made us all guilty of stealing thargoid tech.
which all adds up to us being the invaders the thieves and the agressors to a race that is far older than ours and as far as we now know, they were in our space long before we even existed.
leading to another theory that we came from the ancients and were seeded here by them, probably as a final blow to the thargoids as they ran as fast as they could out of our area of the galaxy to get away from a superior race that's sees us as gnats in their garden eating the fruits of their labors.
No surprise that the feds would secretly know and embrace this theory as they are very aggressive, not to mention the feds probably have actual records indicating all this to be truths and is why they are so aggressive. Gnats in a garden or not, they do not want to die and/or be used as fertilizer by the bugs.

Can you imagine what it would be like if you land next to one of those bases and it takes off?

Better wear your brown flightsuit!
