That sinking feeling...

... when you reach Ross 1015, wonder where they left Abetti Platform, and then you have another look at the contract.

Which sent you to Ross 1051. On the very opposite edge of the playable area.:D

It gets better. Apparently, even fully fuelled, the Hauler is incapable of reaching the system at all. There is only one system connected to Ross 1051, which is not connected to any other.

So you need a Cobra at least. Or better engines...which aren't there yet.

Seeing you're in a Hauler, I'm guessing you're full of cargo? Have you tried selling some cargo or playing with the cargo slider in the galaxy map to see if it will extend your range enough to reach that connecting system?

If you don't know yet, your maximum jump range is calculated of off your total fuel & total mass which includes your cargo, so if you loose some cargo you should be able to jump further.

Yes, I know, but I am not doing my own cargo runs, but delivery contracts exclusively. I am not the type who enjoys comparing buy&sell prices etc., I've just been waiting for the mission system to provide me with a way to play trader without the (to me, personally) utterly unexciting profit calculation.

Therefore I haven't run full yet, the biggest load I carried so far was 9 tons of Bauxite.:)

P.S.: The slider automatically initializes according to the amount of stuff you have in your cargo hold. Good thinking there, FD. :)

That sinking feeling... when you reach Ross 1015 and notice that although it's listed as a cute little Federal Colony, and proclaims itself to be such in-station, it's really an Anarchy outside.
