Newcomer / Intro That time when...

Be me... I just need to tighten up my key binds and VA commands and end up loosing the lot and now sat in a dock not knowing how to take off or even enter star port services.

Yeah that /rage

I'm extremely confused at what your problem is? You lost your keybinds? Is there a reason you can't just rebind them??

I have them all written down so can fix it. Just absololutely furious as now some of it is guesswork. Will have to re do VA too as I can't trust the commands

It's always better to do your binds yourself rather than trust a preset keybind file or something. When I start a new game, any game, I first go through all the keybinds and customize them to the controls I'm using (mouse/KB, gamepad, controller, joystick, VA). I play for a day or so with those bindings and then I go back over them one more time once I've played long enough to know what functions I need immediate convenient access to.
EDIT: I used VA at first too but I quickly found that my Logitech extreme 3D pro had enough buttons to map everything needed, and a button press results in a much faster action than a voice command does. The added functionality was cool for a while but eventually it became tiresome, and slower than using buttons.

This is kind of what I was doing. Just swap a couple around and bind a few extras for VA. Me being a noob to pc gaming though, I went in a bit heavy handed.

Started to sort this out but my HOTAS feels very odd. Dead zones are set at zero but I have to move the stick loads and then it's all whoa there boy!! Like its lag. I didn't see an excelleration slider.
Basically I've noused this right up.

You didn't say if you use only VA or Voice Pack for VA as well. If you have Voice Pack, keybinds have to be properly set up. Maybe this will help:
