That Warm feeling when you discover a large system

Does anyone else get a thrill when the advanced discovery scanner brings up more than 50 astronomical objects in a system?
Please share your large systems :)
:)
I'm currently in this one Screenshot_0297.jpg

Yeah, I had that little rush of adrenaline myself today...especially when I looked and saw a swarm of gas giants preceded by about 12 of what looked like HMCs....and my very first ELW (wasn't sure at first, but that's where I parked for the day because I had RL stuff to deal with). Gotta love it when a plan comes together!

Hoping to net some good finds tonight :)
Still haven't found a system with more then 35 astronomical objects...

I like when the discovery scanner says seven or eight additional objects, and those wind up being: Metal-Rich, HMC CFT, HMC CFT, Water World CFT, Earthlike, Icy, Icy, Ammonia World.

(I'll take the Icy's with the rest of that line-up:D)

Apologies to those who've seen the first one before, but here are some of the larger systems I've discovered :)

Damn I'm sure I've had some in the 50s and 60s I wish I had saved a screenshot now I just considered that someone must have found much bigger than me. I'm sure someone said there's a thread of site with records on??? anyone ?

You'll be looking for this.

It's being moved from google docs to its own site here but I don't think that's completed yet (although it is looking very nice).

I think the current record is 112 or so objects in a system. 150 objects would be the holy grail and would probably require a change of underwear if I stumbled across such a system!

Honest answer ? I'm in exploration mainly to find habitables. Those give me the fuzzy feelings. Systems with huge body counts usually don't have any. What I like a lot are those systems with two suns around 4k ls apart with around 8 quite tiny planets around each. My best find so far was one with 6 terraformables, 5 were high metal, one a waterworld.

I just found one with 83 objects, and came here looking for records in that area.

It's funny, sometimes I get a message for eg. that 6 new objects have been discovered, but on the system map it might just be a couple of stars and a single planet. Anyone know what's up with that?

There were probably asteroid belts in the system as well. Each targetable one counts as an object, even though they're worthless scanning wise :)

Well done on the 83 objects, anything above 50 is good going. My record is 107 (none of which were asteroid belts).
I would say anything above 50 is unusual. I just got another in the 70's.
When I get back to civilised space I will be publishing my findings. I have recorded every system I've visited (currently just under 1200 systems on this trip, and I've just turned to head for home).
:)

Heh, I hope that warm feeling isn't your urinary system :)

It depends. A lot of large systems are pretty boring from my point of view. I get excited when there's a large system AND something interesting crops up. Otherwise I groan when I see them because I KNOW I'm missing out (i.e. moving on without looking at it all - which I almost always do because of how long they take and how much of a rush I am in)
