After looking around I decided to try and form a new Federal Armada within Elite Dangerous. The idea is that we can create a strict chain of command, led by mature and experienced ED pilots. I'm trying to create a very well organised and yet a fun group to be in, to be involved in all aspects of ED gameplay; mining, trading, combat, bounty hunting, exploration, community goals, power play, special operations in enemy space.
As a start, I am looking for well experienced, mature, leader skilled commanders, please submit your "CV's" to me via PM or on this Thread. These commanders will fill in 6 roles of Vice Admirals. They will effectively create the leadership counsel.
Following this, there will be posts opening in various wings, and recruitment will be open to those wishing to join. Primarily looking for mature commanders, over 18+, however, although it will be the sole decision of the counsel, I can't see a potentially good talent being turned away just because they are 17.
This is the first post and here are my initial ideas, the first post will be updated as The 301st Armada develops;
- Strict chain of command, with Admiral and Vice Admirals making strategic decisions for upcoming operations
- Rank structure not based on the in game rank, but a reputation and distinguished service within The 301st Armada
- Official Federation Rank titles to be used
- Cooperation with other Federal Armadas
- Home system to be decided at first Counsel meeting
- Each Vice Admiral will have a minimum of 1 and maximum of 2 wings to administer, if you think of it like taking command of a Section in the army, Vice Admiral has control over a Section whilst having Fire Team Leader for Fire Team 2; this translates into two Wings with a Captain or other Rank in charge of Wing 2
- Each Vice Admiral, depending on their experience will administer and control various activities, those activities are not exclusive however as to not tie someone in one thing and let them get bored; eg. V.Admiral 1 - Mining Operations (tie in with station developments), V.Admiral 2 - Combat operations, etc. etc.
- Strict set of rules to be decided at first meeting; rules of engagement, personal conduct etc etc.
This is all I can think of for now, this is a first post and as I try to develop this group, more information will provided.
If this succeeds I will be over the moon, if it doesn't I gave it a go. As a ex Milsim Arma 3 player, I have an experience in groups with those structures, hopefully it will be other people's tastes too.
