Powerplay the 4 weeks of Powerplay 1.0 will end up being faster.

I was actually invested for the first time in years. I was like cool I can pledge the power I actually like and stay with them and still get access to the cool stuff. But then Frontier just couldn't help themselves and nerfed the out of the only things in the game that someone without a fleet carrier can do to rank up at a fair rate. Frontier managed to get me interested again. Killed my want to play the game instantly with rare goods nerf.

Was good whilst it lasted. But surely it's a good thing. Something more relevant like trade in general, handing in salvage from the "front", or mining in the afflicted zone, and of course fighting the enemy, should pay alot more merits than running weird gin.

Depends on how you look at it. If you want to get all 12 PP modules, you'll have to do the pledge-wait-haul-buy-unpledge loop for 12 months anyway. But I'll concede that it's more about the wait time, the actual work you put in is probably an hour per module unlock.

With PP2, the wait time could work out to be shorter, but you'll have to play more actively. I've seen some players reached rank 100 already but those are the <1% outliers.

yeah there are some. they had fleet carriers and it was pre nerf.

That's all about your interest in powerplay?

Oh dear...
I felt like I was actually making progress. it wasn't that bad of a grind. I was enjoying the entire game. I was bounty hunting, exploring, mining, you name it. I c
ould run a couple trips for the rare good and then just play. the nerf just made it to where now if want to stand a chance at getting higher in the leader boards or unlocking stuff at a decent clip I'll have to treat power play like a full time job. my interest in the whole game has been completely obliterated because of this.

I'm no power player (see the pun there?) but at the rate I'm going just doing this for fun is about 10 levels a week. In 4 week's time I'll be 40 which grants two of the power play modules.

The old system would require, at best, four weeks for one. A week of being hounded for defection and four weeks at another. So eight weeks with one concurrent week of double trouble.

While there are two modules I would like perma unlocked, I'm not doing it for that reason.
