The ability to manually colonise planets

They should implement the ability to manually colonise planets you fine and build a base on that planet with a pad to dock on to. This would esentualy be a player owned space port which in my opinion would be cool.

Tell me what you think

Time to colonise= 3 1/2 days

One thing I wish Frontier did was be able to see progression of stations and planetary stations. Like every Month or so you might see a new part on the station being built. With items that you and other player and AI players supply the station.

Now player own. I hope it never happens.

This is a feature that I would like to see. Not likely what you envision however - something more like a localized mining operation that requires materials to be sustained. If you fail to do so, it breaks down and ultimately is abandoned. With a trade anaconda holding 400+ tonnes of cargo it is feasible that you could bring materials to build a small outpost (and potentially improve it) in deep space. I wouldn't even say something you can land at, just a small outpost that mines materials for you while you are running supplies to keep it operating.

The start would be deep mineral/other surface scans, etc. to find an appropriate location and what not.

I want to note, that all objects (planetary base, space station and mega-ship) in the "Elite Dangerous" are composite - that is, assembled from a separate (standard) items, from which you can create a variety of designs.
Of course - this is the basic principle of "procedural generation" and there is not a single word mentioned the opportunity to "build facilities by force of the players", but still ...

You are a pilot. With a ship. How do you colonize a planet single-handedly. In 3 1/2 day?

What I think he means is, bring some NPCs with you (passengers), bring enough metals, set down, and create a spaceport. It can be tiny, only one pad (size depending on how much you pay and build). here, you can keep your modules, ships, extra cargo, etc, and the location would only be available to you (unless you invite someone by).

Definitely yeeeeaaaars away, but still a fun idea.
