The Alliance are hard to please it seems

I've been running a ton of missions up in Alliance space, I've become allied with 3 different organisations that are Alliance based (always making sure that the mission I accept are handed out by the owners of the Alliance station) but I'm still neutral with the main faction itself, if this is normal and it just takes time then thats fine, but I managed to get friendly with the Federation so much quicker than with these guys. I wonder if your initial starting location also gives you a like a boost with a faction. Its all good though, once you're allied some really nice mission start popping up, got a 400k reward one just for fetching some silver, the goods cost me 175k but left over 225k was sweet for just making 2 jumps.

Anyone else with experience in raising main factions know if this is looking pretty normal?

I asked almost the exact same thing yesterday, and upon handing in the very last mission from tonight's session, I ticked over into friendly.

Had similar case with Empire myself - allied sub-factions, friendlies, but the main course still Neutral. It'll eventually change, however.

You need about 100 mil in trading profits to go from neutral to allied. Supplement with contracts/missions to make it faster.

It's not just missions that make you friendly with a station-controlling faction... trading with that station helps a lot
