The amount of available missions

How does amount of missions works? is it tied to the population of the system, to the infuence of factions or what? Sometimes it seems to me that it is completely random.

How can player know from ingame info which system can offer good amount of valuable missions?

Do i really have to visit them personally to figure that out?

Missions are generated on the basis of faction type, station economy type and station owning faction state. No one has yet figured out all the variables, but some things are clear e.g. Factions in famine generate famine relief missions, factions in conflict generate pew pew missions.

So faction states are the best initial indicator of mission types you might want to do. Different stations generate different ratios of different missions.

he didnt ask for the type of missions, but the amount. Ive seen systems in same states with one system offering just one mission and the other multiple of the same type.

Did l read correctly that 2.3 will decouple the mission/passenger boards, so there should be a greater allocation per? Right now it's about 20 per mission/passenger board, and positive/negative BGS states tend to get more of the allocation than neutral states.

Anyway - OP your question needs more detail. What do you consider a "valuable" mission? Are you looking for specific types of missions, or just overall mission credits? If the answer is the latter, then the best thing you can do is rep up with ever faction in a system. The more rep you have with them, the more you will be able to pick the best paying missions for yourself. I was running simple haulage missions yesterday that ran from the 500k - 1.2M Cr range.

Also, bulk passengers are a good way to make cash, especially if you don't mind playing dirty. I got a shady redirect yesterday that turned a simple 400k passenger mission into a 2.5M passenger mission.... I mean, passengers require lots of paperwork. There are bound to be mix-ups... from time to time :|

Pretty much this. I understand how system state and mission types are working together, but my question is about amount of missions and their difficulty/reward.

I just visited system in Civil War with around 13 billion people, 5 stations and almost no missions on them, even no combat missions.

Then i was looking on 17 Draconis, which were people talking about and it has 200K population and offering hightly rewarding mission.

I just don't see any reasonable clue, how does this system works.

Your local rep is very important to the difficulty/reward, the higher the rep, the higher the difficulty/reward.

This is true but it seems to have no impact on abundance of missions. I'm allied to all factions in my main system and I just now saw

10/10
1/1
0/1
1/1

The top 2 are neck n neck for the top influencial dogs in the system and will go to war soon.

No reason that the 2nd one has the same avail of missions as the last 2 which both have 1.0 % influence.

I would just be happy to have higher the rep please someone give me more than one mission.......

There are other ways to rep up with factions as well - trade, exploration data, bounty hunting and combat bonds are great sources of rep. Finding missions into your target system are a good source. Your best bet to good mission availability is to choose a base system and focus on it and systems in a 20-30 Ly radius. Mix missions and bulk passengers to increase your chances of finding worthwhile things to do.

All of this is moot if you're limiting yourself to one or two mission types.

Yes, that's correct, and in the beta, at least where I am, high tech system with population around 10 million, there are 26 missions and 27 passenger missions. First time I logged into beta I think it was a few more...

States are also important for the amount of missions available. As are state transitions which seems to reduce the no.
