I'll be honest. I don't like the look of the Ghost. Engines look too small.
I was showing a friend the Lego SW Ghost ship saying I should buy it as an Asp model
I agree, it doesn't look like it should be able to propel itself, even in zero-g

Not really boxy enough. And the Asp came first in Elite 64 which is what I believe the current version is an extension of:

The fact that the Ghost reminds me of the Asp is the main reason I got into this series in the first place
If similarity implies causality, since the Asp came first by several decades then the subject line of this thread is actually backwards: The Ghost from Rebels is just the Asp Explorer.
Or rather, both the Ghost and Asp Explorer are derived from a common ancestor, the original vector-drawn Asp.
On the other hand, the Asp has always been all about the pentagons. I see no pentagons on the Ghost.

The Asp Mk.II was in the very first version of Elite, on the BBC. The Asp Explorer didn't appear until Frontier: Elite 2.
