The ATC announcement's.

Only thing I'd like to see added to the ATC's greetings is some reaction to the physical condition of your ship. Fly in all beat up with only 5% hull left and they make comments along the lines of "What did you do to your ship, mate? It looks awful" or "Crash response crews, report to pad {your pad number here}, I don't think that thing's going to make it down in one piece".

Yep, there are a lot of instances where the ATC could make comments just based on the player's ship and actions (that shouldn't be too difficult to implement):

Flying a Large Ship without a Docking Computer:
ATC: [Ship's Callsign] You are cleared for landing pad 35. We note you don't have docking computer installed, we have notified the Crash Crews to be on standby and have cleared all traffic from the vicinity of the entrance.

Flying a Small Ship with a Docking Computer:
ATC: [Ship's Callsign] You are cleared for landing pad 11, just sit back and drink your milk and we will get your ship through that nasty entrance and down safely.

Flying a ship at maximum speed after requesting clearance:
ATC: [Ship's Callsign] You are cleared for landing pad 20. We noticed your approach speed, you wouldn't happen to be trying to bypass the scanners would you, maybe carrying something you shouldn't? Don't worry we won't tell Security.

Yep, let's have more of this.

Comments such as "I hope you're not here to start any trouble" if your ship's DPS >100 or "You should check out our market" if cargo capacity > 100 or "We don't take kindly to racing in the space-lanes" if vmax > 600 etc would be nice.
Also, some acknowledgement of naval rank would be... erm... something in recognition of it.

I agree it would definitely be cool to see the stations have more reactivity to your ship and behavior.

"Cleared for docking, CMDR. Bring her in nice and easy." Big ship.
"Welcome back Sir/Maam. Your pad's ready and waiting." high ranked pilot in appropriate faction station.
"Mind the traffic. Lotta tankers coming through." Small ship with lots of big ships.
"Cleared to land CMDR. Good to see some new supplies coming through." Ship full of cargo.
"docking privileges granted CMDR, but not at that speed!"

Etc etc.

As much as I approve the idea - I have a bad feeling about overall quality of those recordings.

- "Attention CMDR, you're approaching Federal station <dog barking in the background>. Please follow standard docking procedure"
- "Zorgon Peterson Sierra Hotel India, Imperial Flight Operations welcome you in this facility <honey, could you throw the trash away? Sure sweetie, in a moment>. Docking request approved, you are assigned to pad number 42"
- "Attention, you are now leaving <Nokia tune, ti du di, ti du di, ti ti du dii> our station, You may proceed with your flight plan."

Nah man! it'd make it seem more real!

It seems to me that they got the ATC voices backwards. The computer voice they use at the engineer stations should be the one thats used at all the common stations. That way the voice acted ones would only be used at special stations, like the engineer, or shinrata, obsidian, cubeo, harma, you get the idea.

I like the atc's but it would be nice to use them in only certain spots. Not every station needs to have one and the computer voice would work just as well.

Good point.

Yeah, but I would of thought that 1000 years in the future they could at least have automated voices that don't sound like they were generated with an early 2000's text to voice app :D :D :D
