The Bar Stupidity that Frontier Made

Wouldn't be hilarious to fire a gun in your own bar only to be gunned down 5s later by the Elevator guards?
I would assume they're as nasty as the Carrier big guns 😂
Well, they prolly go the same route as all the other OmniPol's went... Only downside would be the need to get new personnel, so stay close to an admin system.

I am making my 1st post in 5 years of Elite play. And what do I want to post about. I want to post how stupid do you think it is to sell the capability of having a bar and a bartender that can trade materials on their 5 billion credit carrier and spend 250 million credits on the bar just to be able to sell 100 items in that bar. 100 ITEMS OF ALL THE COMPONETS IN THE ODYSSEY FOOT GAME. How dumb can Frontier be. Please try to explain that to me, for I do not comprehend how anyone would be thinking that would be a decent number.
Yep... we've all been complaining about it in at least two separate threads already. Most of my responses were in this one: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/price-range-for-materials-on-carriers-is-way-off.600765/

Sidenote: Have you noticed the cap on the prices you can charge for items? It's so low, I don't expect anyone to drop by my carrier and sell the Weapon Components and other items I'm short of (85 of my bar units are set to Buy, only 15 to sell) at the maximum 1000% price of what they consider the galactic average.

If you haven't noticed that yet, you're going to blow another gasket...

OP is right though. Your backpack can hold more stuff for Bottom to be hazzed than your carrier can.
It is stupid.
Even better: In a Maverick suit with extra backpack capacity, you can pull more things from your SRV/Ship and chuck them on the ground in one salvo than you can at the bar, provided it's a mix of items, assets, and data (30, 60, 20). Not to mention it's faster to keep pulling stuff from that inventory and chucking it on the ground than it is to transfer to the bar, and then go into another menu to set prices. Wheee!!!!

I dont expect anyone to come to my carrier to sell me the stuff i need, although that might still happen

However, if I NEED stuff, i will search for it and i will go visit some carriers instead of waiting for it to drop in my pockets

Even worse, if I'm right in thinking you can do the same thing from an Apex taxi. Citation definitely needed here, but if I'm right, and that taxi theoretically holds all your inventory, what if you take nothing, or just a couple of E-breaches, and the taxi is destroyed taking off, or arriving? We're told, as I recall, that you should transfer your stuff to the SRV so you don't lose it when you are shot unconscious, but not what happens to that stuff when the enemy blows your vehicle up, or it's destroyed because you had to leave without it, under fire.

I have to be wrong, of course, because that would be a big immersion wrecker.

Yes, your Ship locker is somehow mirrored in the SRV locker and Apex locker.
But the bartender does not have access to it. I would not thrust them anyway, so it's for the best

Careful with Apex tho... there are some Apex pilots that will sometime slip some e-breaches in your pockets, right before you disembark in a settlement where they're illegal

The bar should've really been a free and stock part of the Fleet Carrier, and the ability to trade materials should've been rolled into the Pioneer Supplies shop instead.

But I'm no game designer so am probably just talking out of my Arx here.
just to say that the carrier is my ability to put any commodities in storage and the over all ideal was being able to sell you property to anyone on your ship limiting it to 100 when on average thats just about having one item on the entire list. and I should say i collect 100 items every time i raid.

and thats the whole crux in the Bar. I went back to the carrier admin and got rid of it and the pioneer store neither is worth the credits in my carrier.
