I'd have been happy to see either of the two Merc drivers win the championship this year but not with one playing dirty. Its gonna be interesting to see how this one works itself out.

If what is reported is fact, which it may not be of course, F1 has a big problem. You cannot have a driver deliberately taking out other drivers. What would have happened had Hamilton spun out and had the sort of accident Ayrton Senna had in his final Grand Prix.

It also raises questions about Monaco as someone else said.

Add up the points and Hamilton lost probably 32 points and Rosberg gained 7 (assuming otherwise he would have finished second in both races). Great for Rosberg and barring disaster his championship. Congratulations Rosberg.

F1 will do nothing. Mercedes are compromised because Rosberg leads the championship by more than a race. I suspect Hamilton will need a new team for next year.

I don't really buy that it was deliberate, if Hamilton's tyre hadn't burst Nico would have been handing him the race there and then.

I suspect when he said he was proving a point or whatever it was, that he meant he was proving he wouldn't back down.

Clumsy I reckon, rather than malicious...both the incident, and his comments.
