The best star system to obtain cargo run missions in your opinion?

I was having luck in LHS 3262 but it stopped giving good missions for gallite, etc.

It was providing two missions at a time from 40-120k credits. now for the past 3 runs it's only giving 11-15k credit jobs.

Where have you guys had luck picking up good paying jobs?

BTW I tried mining and I find it time consuming and a bore!

Well, if you find the right spot you can pretty easily pull out between 50-100k an hour in the starter ship by mining...the only problem there is finding the "right spot".

But the galaxy isn't static and resources play out, demand is sated and prices drop, missions fulfilled and no more come. The game isn't static, but reacts. Your missions may return in time but the question is "How long?". I would be curious to learn.
If you are looking for someone to tell you where to go, you may get there just as that demand plays out. I suggest that thinking in terms of a "static universe" does not apply here.
In other words... "Go west young man!"

Aulin is pretty good, you can flog their technology goods to nearby systems (Styx, LHS 3006, I Bootis) and collect good sized rewards (30-50 k range are fairly common). If you can find a large supply of superconductors nearby (which I haven't) you will make a killing flogging those back to Aulin.

Plus the ship outfitting options at Styx and Aulin are pretty good as is the security.

Edit: Someone posted that G180-18 sells a lot of superconductors, and Yanya (haven't tried it yet).

Found a lovely trade route last night, systems are 8.4Ly apart, round trip nets me 47K in a cobra :), so getting about 500k an hour, shame theres a wipe coming lol

I find the best routes are small off-world platforms to high-tech trade hubs some 1-2 jumps apart. You can usually pick up a few 100-150k heavy cargo jobs inbetween your runs.

Once you get at least 40t cargo space, A route that's over 2 jumps which nets you under 50k each way isn't a run worth doing in my opinion.

Semi and supers from acihaut, tea and coffee from ibootis, pg cells aulin, food cartridges from styx, occasional forays yo refinery and extraction systems, picking up high value fetch and carry missions where they fit in...

Nice to dock my 148t asp back at aulin at the end of the day, put my feet up with a beer and tv, wait for the missions to come up on the boards and fill them from the hold... Sweet

Going to have to start working for my money again in a couple of days!

from Hared to Jaitu, Gold, buy for 8921, sell for 10315.
coming back grab Indium for 5494, sell for 6152.
Distance is around 8ly.

I'm going to see if the trade area I have been using recently is still around after the wipe.

If not I'm just going to go on a grand tour of the empire/alliance and see what tickles me'fancy

Refinery systems that have gold and are away from the starting regions.

Often you get missions to deliver gold to another system that net you > 100k Credits for a single mission

If you don't mind the travel, head off into the unknown until the stations you are visiting show less than 10 visits by other players per day. You can find amazing profits. Found one selling 3m T of Coffee and 4m T of Tea yesterday, as no one was moving it!
