The BGS is a beast, hm?

Morning.

After some testing I think that the new Missions, especially the mission rewards in combination with the engineers need a tweak or two.

Here are some things I observed through the last days:

1. Credits
We are close at the 500 million per hour mark. I would not wonder if someone manages to make 10 billion a day this weekend.

2. G5-Materials
Thanks to the mission rewards we are able to gather around 75-100 G5-Materials per hour and thanks to the brokers we are able to max out the inventory in just a few hours. Not sure if intended or not.

3. BGS
With the newly introduced mission rewards we are able to manipulate the BGS in a (maybe) not so perfect way. Example: While one faction gives you kill missions for the controlling faction you are able to chose commodities as a mission reward, selling them back at the controlling station brings your reputation instantly back to your original state. Feels like table-tennis to be honest.

I understand that these are unforseeable side effects from the new system but I am perfectly convinced that we need a couple of fixes here.

But, just to point that out - its all fun fiddling around with the new mechanics. Endgame and stuff :)

Regarding #3, I see your point, but completing kill missions will still increase the system influence of the patron faction. The fact that you're then going on to pass their mission reward resources to their enemy is just another day in the life of shifty pilot federation types who like to play both sides for profit.

Yep. Its fun. It´s cool. But I think its unintended :)

Wish I could manage #1 and #2 lol! My pthon is not generating that much! I like the concept of choosing rewards though, as I am currently chasing credits probably biased as I would say working for me. However at my level a tweak one way or the other makes little difference, as I a not at the high end yet.

# Sneaky! That seems a little easier than kill sytem security and then cash in some bounties somewhere else to restore rep of 2.4. One could argue it is just a streamlining, hence a QOL. I am joking, good spot.

2. G5-Materials

A) 100 mats is good going
B) Not all mats are obtainable from missions
C) Say you managed to get 100 of any G5 material every hour, how many types of G5 are there? 20 or so? If you're going to spend an entire day, without sleep, just getting materials, I have absolutely no problem with that.

Or you could take the credit reward and spend it on a cash donation mission for the other faction, with much the same effect.

I agree it's probably too easy to play both sides - it's not hard to be allied with everyone if you want - but I don't think there's much new in 3.0 there (except for some missions getting destination reputation effects)

You missed the "Material Trader" part.

No. But g5 to g3 to different g5.

"2. G5-Materials"

You were talking about how quickly you can max out mats. The header is G5 Materials. Using other mats to fill up G5 is going to be slower than that 100/hr you quoted (as well as reducing the amount of sub-G5).

My point was that even at max rate (100/hr) and there being several types of mat, it's going to take a day to max out just G5. Material Trader isn't going to speed that up.
