The billionaires club

So I have been fortunate enough to finally hit above 1 bil in net assets. Do I get a platinum card or a membership to a private interstellar golf club? :)

in in all honesty, this has just been a loooong prep for when I get a licence to purchase a Corvette. I just can't wait to sit down in the cockpit of this beautiful ship. The serious case of envy whenever I see one will end soon TM :)

Edit: seems a long way from where I started, being excited about making my first 100k credits

Long scaleEvery new term greater than million is one million times larger than the previous term. Thus, billion means a million millions (1012), trillion means a million billions (1018), and so on.

Nearly yes, I was reading this on my phone whilst I was landing at a station. But I'm an accountant so you haven't lost me, I like numbers ;-)

Ill be there in two more sothis/ceos runs! Currently sitting at 895,000,000 crds. Already have my corvette thought pulled the trigger a little early...my plan was to wait to hit the billion mark but I was tired of waiting! :p Its worth the wait though...amazing combat ship! [yesnod]

Welcome to the club, I ha e a fully A rated cutter at nearly 1BIL and half that again sat as free cash, I love the cutter.

I think I'm around 400 million at this point. As soon as I get back to the bubble, I'm going to buy a Corvette and fit it out for trading to get me the rest of the way there, I think.

When talking money, the American standard (billion = 1000 million) has been widespreadly adopted, so the above is no longer really the case.

wiki said:
1,000,000,000 (one billion, short scale; one thousand million or milliard, yard,[1] long scale) is the natural number following 999,999,999 and preceding 1,000,000,001. One billion can also be written as b or bn.
In scientific notation, it is written as 1 × 109.
Previously in British English (but not in American English), the word "billion" referred exclusively to a million millions (1,000,000,000,000). However, this is no longer as common as earlier, and the word has been used to mean one thousand million (1,000,000,000) for some time.[2][3] The alternative term "one thousand million" is rare[citation needed] and is used primarily to ease understanding among both native and non-native speakers of English to clarify relative comparative understanding[clarification needed] of the term, as many other languages use words similar to "billion" (e.g. Spanish billón, or Finnish biljoona) to mean one trillion(1,000,000,000,000 or a million millions).

I'm a smidge over 1.6 billion in assests and working towards getting the Cutter. I'm hoping that'll make the next billion a whole lot easier to get. :)

If you gentlemen want to donate to my cause: "Billions For Commanders", I would be more than happy to accept your donations. As the test recipient, I am the first candidate of the cause. The main goal of the cause is to make Oprah jealous of your contributions.

I am working my way there though. Right now, I'm almost at 500 mil in assets.

Can't imagine a billion, I sat at 45-60 million for ages, shiney ship ,buy , oh credits are low again. I have managed to get to 189 million and not blow it all on a shiny ship (yet but I have a itchy finger that looks like it wants to buy something) so I may hit 200 million soonish. billionaire ,playboy ,philanthropist nah I'll leave that to Tony Stark for now as I may by me a type9conda

Short scale is the generally accepted use of billion, I believe.

I hit about 700 million and basically stopped trying to make money but than that bugged cg came along and I got another 220 mil in a couple days. Hit a few other community goals and I'm sitting on around a bill and change in assets. I was at around 450 million in the bank with no desire to spend it but ended up building a dropship for mining so I'm at 380 mill liquid now. No desire for a cutter, corvette or even a military spec conda. Maybe I'll build a mining T9? I'm currently having fun engineering my python. Flying the ship you want and having enough for 40+ rebus in nice. Hakuna matata.

I'm at 60% tycoon so will have to make another 400 mil to hit elite trader but that's not my priority right now.
