Do only certain stations have a black market, and if so which ones and how can you tell?

At present it barely seems worth scavenging cargo.

Think it is due to lawfulness, the more civilized the station the less profitable a black market will be. In the full version both legit and non-legit cargo will have its merits but currently Freeport is the one that is the black market hub.

It was actually more worthwhile that I first thought. I picked up 3 gold from Aulin, no black market there so took them to Ibootis which does have a black market and is where I was headed anyway with Performance enhancers, made about 17k in 5 minutes.

Maybe in the future as your rep increases with unlawful types more black markets will open up for the player.

A higher level more discrete market can always be found in more "civilized" places. At much higher profit margins too. At least in the real world ;)

You are wrong. I am using Cobra to play and yesterday I have sold stolen cargo for 150K for full cargo hold.

As for black markets - there is no black market at Beagle 2 (Asselus Prime). There are black markets at Azeban, Chango, Freeport and Dahan. I did not check the new 3 stellar systems. And of course black market prices vary as the commodity market price. E.g. you will get more profit by selling gold at Dahan or Chango than at Freeport or Azeban. Way more 4.8K vs 3.6K.
