The bravery.

This was said by a wanted Hauler when he had 1% hull left. He was rubble by the time a screenshot was taken. Makes me sad :(

LOL, same thing happened to me, a poor sidewinder pirate was at the least possible health, and the last thing he ever said was "Eat photons, fool!"

I wonder if you could tie in comments with shield and hull strength and the lower they are the more desperate they become.

I always thought a game would be really fun if the final boss in a level would say stuff based on how quickly you'd gone through the rest of the level. You know, so when your level 99 paladin is soloing black temple, the final boss doesn't give you a bunch of smack talk, instead:
"OH its YOU again. I see you've slaughtered everyone in the place and I suppose I'm next..."
"Are you grinding for the Bulwark of Azzinoth, then? I bet that's it."*
"I suppose you feel like a great big hero doing this, huh?"

(* Not that I know anything about that)

Would be nice if they related to their current status, like losing and saying as much. Maybe even saying they're running away.
They say "impossible" sometimes when I open a can of whoopass which does fit, not sure about the rest.

When I open a can of whoopass on a Sidewinder with my Python, and he says "impossible", then it's just stupid.

It's a part if the general needs for suopression of disbelif, and having the NPCs behave like people rather than target drones.

Shieldless Eagle "pirates" attacking my Cobra or my Dropship just shouldn't happen. Such suicidal behavior gives a strobg signal that "it's just a game, it's not real".

They could just be swear words and the closer to death they are the more extended vowels they have like Kirk's Khhhhhhhaaaaaannnnnn.

Good thing FD have someone working on a huge AI upgrade for the next update. Oh wait.

I applaud FDEV for keeping the NPC's from Frontier and FFE in there at least in comms chatter, I remember getting attacked in Frontier in a Panther Clipper with 300 shield generators by a Falcon without any weapons at all. After stopping dead he promptly hit the shields with his ship which barely flickered but the funniest part is the comms with 'Surrender or die' LOL. Ive had the sidey experience of blazoned bravado in the face of certain death with the threats and insults its very amusing.
