Can someone tell me why the Bulletin Board is so limited, where are the passengers? where are the crew requests? etc.
Imagine the possibilities that could arise if passengers were included. Transporting spies makes you a target for authority vessels. There are prison colonys, why not have prisoner transfer missions? sell prisoners on the black market or release them to their faction. Ordinary passengers? Even covert missions transporting ambassadors for your power. There are missions to assasinate, why not pick up a target and get them to safety? Some of these could boost your rating, rank or standing with your power.
One option other than just leaving your power could be turning traitor by delivering an ambassador or two for your power to a rival power.
Imagine if you had an avatar talking to you when you opened the Bulletin Board asking what you wanted to do, or just saying hello. a random Male, Female or Alien?
This is just a few possible ideas for the Bulletin Board. The one used in the game "Frontier: Elite" was brilliant.
