**Apologies if this isn't in the right place. If you could direct me would be most appreciated. I'm with a Commander Creation tbh.
GREETINGS COMMANDERS
Since purchasing Elite I have mined.. and then mined... and then mined some more. Why? I have no idea, especially when I began mining BEFORE limpets were created in game (Shout out to the manual scoopers out there!) I just took to it. I know, for some of you, there is simply no explanation as to why anyone would want to mine but I suppose somebody has got to do it.
So...
The year was 3301. We mined and sold our well earned cargo after a lot of blood, sweat, tears, collector killing asteroids and limpet loving pirates to the commodities to complete our faction missions or bump up the bank balance both pre and post PMF's but over time, as loyal as I am to the trade, I notice there are other things in game that begin to appeal more and more to the community and the miners are being left behind in terms of updates, engineer upgrades, even to the point that we've even lost a couple of ton of cargo to those damn materials lol shakes fist at iron, phosphorus and the rest of their friends!
Fades away violin music
Now to what I was getting to...
In June/July I had an idea, simply based on the fact that, clues in the name, Teamsters Logistics Corp could indeed be actually what it says it is (Allelujah by Sister Act Style choir). With a quick word to the gaffer I was about my work hoping to bring my Mining Dept. back from the brink. Well not the brink because we're an integral part of the PMF but you know what I mean!
What I have created is a Discord channel (The Cabin) totally focussed on bringing fresh Cmdr immersion to both my department and those who wish to use it. By creating the channel we have began, in essence, a Cmdr controlled Commodities depot where others can purchase the 'non purchasable' metals and minerals only miners can provide, earning an honest pay from something with a purpose. I care not for the credits anymore. I am more interested in seeing new miners progression while refusing to give them the cargo for free As well as the immersion, we have cut out the need for Cmdrs to get their slick rigs covered in dust and removed their need to re-jiggle their outfitting for such a task.
Pay? How?
Palladium. Available at Station Commodities. Illegal nowhere. We're in the process of compiling closest, large sources. A quick cargo exchange and your on your way to that next engineer upgrade. It's that simple.
Long and Short of it:
Hopefully, once we pull our fingers out at TLC we will also begin to stock other non purchasable commodities such as Modular Terminals and Telemetry Suites etc adding even more for the fellow Cmdr.
Come and take a look, you're not the Guinea pigs. We've completed over a dozen contracts already.

Thanks for your time Cmdrs.
PD out.
