Newcomer / Intro The Case of the Missing Freagle

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me determine whether this issue is down to me not knowing where to look or a bug in the game. I'm a Kickstarter backer with the Imperial Bounty Hunter starter bonus, so up until the other day I was flying the upgraded (albeit loaned) Eagle that came with that reward tier. I noticed in the shipyard that there was a second Eagle showing in Locations. I thought it might've been a glitch, then realised I might have a Freagle kicking around somewhere that I could probably sell for a bit of cash.

The Freagle was showing as being stored in Cheneti, so I went back and flew to the stations with shipyards to try and find it but noticed that wherever I flew, the Freagle showed up a certain number of Ls away and the distance never corresponded to a station. I gave up looking for it and decided to carry on with my game, then it started to get even weirder. I bought an Adder, stored my loaner Eagle in Cheneti and went about my business. Later, I noticed the Freagle was showing in 'Locations' as now being in CD-63 1560. I flew there to try and find it and landed on (IIRC) the only station in the system, Watanabe City…but it's not there. Once again, it's showing as a couple of thousand Ls away with no corresponding body or station.

Does anyone know what might be going on here? Is this a bug I should report or is there some game mechanic I'm not aware of? Is this Freagle roaming wild, or is some NPC yahoo hotrodding round the galaxy in it?

Have a look on the system map for that system. The stored ship should show up as a little symbol above one of the stations. This will be the location of the stored ship.

I'll check again tonight, though I'm pretty sure Watanabe City is the only station in that system and it's not there.

Okay, case solved. I logged back on and the freagle was showing up as back in Cheneti. When i got there the system map showed one ship in Cyrrhus Port and one in Kirk Market, so I headed to Kirk Market and the freagle was there. I sold it for 44k credits. I still have no idea why it was moving around on its own.

The other Eagle, the Imperial Bounty Hunter one, is upgraded but counts as 'loaned' so you can't sell it. It's pretty badass though, so I'm going to keep hold of it.

I would count the "Imperial Bounty Hunter" Eagle as a unique item.... selling means you'll probably never see one again ... I would keep it just as a marker of being a kickstarter backer :)
