Newcomer / Intro The Cmdr is dead,long live his SRV.

I accidentally blew myself up with a grenade near my SRV (don’t ask!). I was about to salvage some booty from a wreck, 5000 light years from an outpost. I recovered back in my ship without my SRV, obviously. Now I can’t find the surface location of the transport. The wreck location is not now listed in the interface and a remap of the planet doesn’t show it either.

Commanders, how do I find the blasted machine?

I expect it's gone. You could try flying low over the planet until you spot it.

Don't be sorry.Nothing so esoteric as video or drama. I was opening a cargo rack at a wreckage site
and when I pulled the trigger on my arc cutter it launched a grenade. Yes,it was my grenade launcher.

To be fair, it wasn't an unreasonable attempt - grenade launchers are usually pretty good at opening crates.
...and chest cavities.
