Since we have a mining community goal, i'd thought i'd take the Corsair out for a mining session. The major issue is that you practically have to come to a standstill to launch a prospector limpet or they get destroyed on launch. One good point is how fast it can get away in a haz-res hotspot.

Yeah, I have a similar issue on the Type-8. I think limpets would need to stay invulnerable for a second after being deployed. And/or move a few meters downwards before going forwards to avoid the ship.

Prospectors tend to also suicide on my Corvette.
Using vertical thruster up helps, but not every time.
Also, they usually blow up as well when there are lots of collectors buzzing around.

Certainly worth a try - it helps in most ships when launching, even at speeds above the limpet max speed.
There should really be a limpet launcher that goes in a medium hard point slot and is optional - if you don’t have it, the limpet deploys from the cargo hatch - but if you have it, it fires them out faster.
