The Corvette Club of Elite Dangerous

"Yeah, it's been a family tradition to be into the Corvettes. Back in the days of the Third World War, it was just about sports cars...now, people are taking that same tradition and applying it to spaceships bristling with massive guns and shields that anything smaller than a Fer-De-Lance can't even hope to punch through."

In all seriousness, I want this to be a thing. And yeah, I'm a few thousand ARX short (as of the initial posting) to afford a paint-job...but honestly, it's a self-imposed challenge to get those customization details through earning, not buying.

Getting a Corvette requires Federation rank of Rear Admiral or higher, plus having hundreds of millions of credits (triple that if you wanna get all the top-tier components on top of the ship itself). I'm sure most of the Forum-Dwellers have gotten that 5 years ago...but for all the new bloods out there, it'd be cute if we knew just how few of a percentage actually saw it through.

If I had enough people into this idea, I'd attempt to pitch it as a new "player faction" or however that game mechanic works...assuming Frontier has the capacity to accept new such BGS entries. The lore would read as follows:

"The Corvette Club of Elite is an offshoot from the roots in Buckyball Racing Club, combined with the Earth tradition of a "Corvette Club" that was popular in the United States of America (with one of the most famous chapters hosted in the state of Maryland, run by the biological father of "Hero Leader" at the time it rose to fame). Where the traditional 'Corvette Club' revolved around a particular line of sports cars, the original club's attitude has become adopted to the battleships of the Federation's Primary and Auxiliary Navies."
