Erm, firing debris or a cargo container as a small ship like Eagle or whatever tries to prevent it entering the station??
If they stop it they then either return the same debris/container or launch their own that the "fielders" have to stop. They have to be 1km from the port If it gets to 4km from station then its a 4, if it gets to 6km its a 6. If the "batting" player gets around the station and back its a run.

Maybe we could use an Orca at each end as the stumps. Problem is finding 2 CMDRs with Orcas.
How would you be able to add spin to the ball? Swing could be added with planety gravitational pull.

As a galactic inhabitant (I call Lave home) descended from Australian ancestors, I can only say:
"Bloody top job England!"
There's nothing I like to see more than our national teamed getting pummeled. Australian cricketers have universally been a bunch of arrogant, egotistical drunks and cheats*; I like nothing better than seeing them soundly thrashed.
*Except Geoff Lawson, he's a nice chap**.
**And Jeff Thompson, who is not terribly nice, but charmingly insane.
